KKAA ScholarshipS
Our primary mission is to award scholarships to KHS graduates who need financial assistance completing their first year of post-secondary education.
To be eligible, the KHS graduating applicant must have a parent, grandparent, guardian, or step-parent, who attended or graduated from KHS and must have been accepted to a specific post-secondary school program. The awarded scholarship will be released upon the successful completion of the first semester program or completion of an alternative program.
How to Apply: Along with the common application, the applicant must also submit a copy of their transcript, a supplementary application, and two letters of recommendations: one from a friend or relative and one from a teacher or guidance councilor. In addition, they have to have completed at least 30 hours of community service and list their extracurricular activities. They can attach any additional info they feel the interview committee would be interested in. The graduating applicant then submits the application to the interview committee. All applicants are reviewed by the scholarship committee. Interviews are given to all applicants.
All applicants are invited to our annual banquet and are encouraged to attend. Parents are also invited to attend but the have to pay the cost of meal and KKAA dues.
